Privacy Policy

1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy
At The 44 Connect, we believe your story and your records belong entirely to you. Our platform is built to provide self-service tools and direct resource pathways for individuals who have left the foster care system, are emancipated, or are tracking their own legal history. We do not collect, store, trade, or share your personal life timelines or legal tracking logs.
2. We Do Not Collect Your Court Documents
The 44 Connect is an informational hub and a directory registry.
Self-Service Logging: When you use our independent methods—like your handwritten paper timeline logs or your personal communication screenshot folders—that data stays on your own physical paper or your own personal smartphone device.
Zero Storage: Our website servers have zero access to your files, your journals, or your images. We cannot see, store, or hold your personal legal evidence.
3. Information We Collect (Contact Forms Only)
The only personal data we ever receive is the basic information you voluntarily type into our main "SUPPORT" or "Contact" forms:
What we receive: Your name, your email address, and any brief notes you choose to type into the form box.
How we use it: We use this information strictly to reply to your question or to assist you with finding an independent professional from our legal aid directory.
Data Retention: We do not compile tracking databases. We delete standard contact submission emails once your inquiry has been answered.
4. No Data Sales or Third-Party Tracking
In strict compliance with the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), we maintain the highest standard of data limitation:
No Selling: We do not sell, rent, license, or lease your name, email, or contact information to any data brokers, commercial advertisers, or outside third parties.
No Ad Targeting: We do not track your internet browsing habits or use your data for targeted marketing or consumer profiling.
No Geolocation Tracking: We do not harvest, track, or record your phone's precise physical GPS location data.
5. Clear Separation of Registry Profiles
Our website features direct contact routes to independent local attorneys, advocacy groups, and legal aide networks. If you choose to leave our platform to contact a professional featured in our directory roster, any information you share with them is subject to their own individual privacy policies and legal confidentiality rules. The 44 Connect is not responsible for data shared externally outside our domain name.
6. Minor and Consumer Privacy Rights
We honor all consumer data deletion rights mandated under state privacy frameworks. If you have used our contact forms and wish for your name and email to be immediately wiped from our inbound mailbox archives, you have the right to request it. We will process your deletion request immediately without delay.
