Our Mission
At The 44 Connect, a specialized sector of ForwardForecast44 LLC, we believe that every young person in the foster care system deserves a fair fight and a clear path forward. Our mission is simple: to dismantle the barriers between foster youth and the vital legal protections they need to thrive. We serve as the ultimate bridge, seamlessly linking youth, system alumni, and their dedicated advocates with independent legal aid organizations ready to defend their rights.
Why We Started
Navigating the legalities of the foster care system—from aging out and housing rights to educational advocacy and identity protection—can be overwhelming and isolating. I know this because I come from the system myself.
I had to personally navigate through a system that is simply not built to teach us that we have rights, let alone show us how to use them. The 44 Connect was born directly out of that struggle. We created this space to disrupt that chaos. We act as a dedicated pipeline, ensuring that no foster youth has to face complex legal challenges alone, or guess about the rights they absolutely deserve to know.
What We Do

Resource Navigation: We simplify the process, making legal resources approachable and easy to understand for youth and caseworkers.
